Britain has produced many of the planets best fashion designers. One of the more recent British fashion superstars is Alexander McQueen. He never set out with the agenda to be a designer and actually made an application to Central St Martins Fashion School to become a lecturer. The course leader was so impressed with his work that he insisted that McQueen take a place as a student.
Since graduating from St Martins, he has never looked back. He is now a global superstar and has taken the helm at a number of large fashion houses including Givenchy. He now focuses on his eponymous collection.
As well as having his own collection, he also does the occasional collaboration including his recent footwear range with Puma.
